For twenty years, the grounds of the old quarry situated at the entry of the massif des Calanques has been abandoned.
With the passage of time, they have been polluted by waste of every description.
The cliffs present real dangers.
The access paths wind in an anarchic fashion…
Today, our non profit organisation, Port Miou pour Tous, has undertaken management of 23 hectares (0.6 square mile) of this site.
We are concerned for your safety as a walker who go through the property to go to the Calanques. We therefore had to provisionally close this access to the Calanques. A path whose access will remain free will be opened soon for everyone.
We apologize for any inconvenience this measure may have caused. A signposted footpath (marked G.R.) following the coast is still possible along the edge of the coast.
We are distributing this document so that you can better understand our project and help us in our goals.
